After the last CATFAS meeting in Gent on June 4-6, 2010, we were contacted by the Korean congress organizer Doctorseminar to expose the Asian plastic surgery community to the CATFAS event. A central and popular location was chosen and CATFAS ASIA 2011, Phuket, Thailand was created!
CATFAS stands for Controversies, Art and Technology in Facial Aesthetic Surgery. This international meeting has achieved a reputation as a platform for state of the art education and teaching on facial aesthetic surgery. The purpose of the meeting is to provide the participants with a clear view on the present concepts and insights in the specialty of facial aesthetic surgery.
CONTROVERSIES generated by differing opinions within the faculty are presented and discussed lively but respectfully in several panels.
ART in facialaesthetic surgery is very much related to experience and judgement of the surgeon. Therefore only internationally renowned experts are invited as faculty member to generously share their expertise with the participants.
TECHNOLOGY plays a more and more prominent role in our specialty and widens the therapeutic possibilities in surgical and non-surgical treatment modalities. However, critical analysis is encouraged during this meeting to discern objective results from market driven promises.
The format of CATFAS ASIA 2011 is a 2-daymeeting with lectures, panels and focus on edited videos. To promote international friendship among colleagues, several entertaining social events are organized and highly recommended.
The meeting will take place in the splendid Mövenpick resort in Phuket and can be a good opportunity to explore the rest of the beautiful country of Thailand.
Attendance is limited to 300 participants and the official language is English.
